Michael leads the production of NAHB’s suite of economic forecasts covering the outlook for the national economy as well as state and local housing markets. His research areas cover topics in housing finance, where he covers trends in single-family, multifamily and construction finance. As a housing economist, Michael provides expert analysis and commentary on the housing market to media outlets and industry groups around the country. Prior to joining NAHB as a senior economist, he worked at the Joint Economic Committee of the U.S. Congress, the Federal Reserve, the Congressional Budget Office, and Goldman Sachs. Michael holds a M.P.A. degree from the University of Pennsylvania.
