Metropolitan Builders & Contractors Association’s Awards of Excellence Program Honors North Jersey’s Top Building Projects and Supporting Efforts

 

East Hanover, N.J., June 10, 2019 – Woodmont Properties of Fairfield, NJ and DaSilva Homes of Newark, NJ were top winners at the annual Awards of Excellence, presented on June 6th at the Hanover Manor in East Hanover, by the Metropolitan Builders & Contractors Association of New Jersey (Metro).

The Awards of Excellence are a coveted acknowledgement in the home building industry. This year, there were 118 entries vying for awards in various categories including marketing efforts, new million-dollar homes, renovations, condominium and rental complexes, and more.

The categories included Builders – New Construction; Builders; Builders – Renovations; Associates; Individual Achievement; and Community of the Year (COTY). Metro also recognizes its Associates who are realtors. The two categories included Million Dollar Club & Leasing Excellence Club.  Acknowledgements went to Country Classics and Woodmont Properties.

This year, Metro also awarded a $2,500 scholarship to a senior from Morris County School of Technology who is in the Design Vocational Program. Elissa Soykin of Butler, N.J. will be attending UCLA in Los Angeles in the fall. Metro’s Award Presenters Michael Borodinsky of Caliber Homes Loans; Tammy Murray of Andersen Windows and Doors; Ken Fox of Fox Architectural Design; Dave Bossart of Bossart Builders; Gabe DaSilva of DaSilva Homes; and Brian Maffia of General Plumbing Supply and AOE Chairperson Erin Myers of Evergreen Recycling, handed out 81 plaques to winners. Winners were selected by a panel that included Tara Schwenker, Kesseboehmer and Suzie Wheeler, Rutt Handcrafted Cabinets.
