We’re taking a stand for recovery at the 5th Annual Celebration of HOPE Walk!
Recognizing the importance of community awareness of the many roads that lead to addiction and the need for community involvement in the recovery process, the New Jersey Builders Association (NJBA) presented Arvo Prima with its Above and Beyond Community Service Award, this April, in support of his work through Hope Sheds Light.
In continuation of that recognition, today we join our sisters from the Professional Women in Building of the Garden State (PWB) in the march toward awareness, engagement and recovery. In 2017, the PWB team Too Inspired to be Tired, attracted approximately 30 participants to the Hope Sheds Light Walk and raised nearly $3,000 to support the effort. In joining the team, NJBA is hoping to broaden the reach.
NJBA and PWB encourages our members throughout NJ to stand together in support of those who are battling for their lives, and especially, to assist those who are working with them through the recovery process. Please join us on Saturday, September 8, 2018 on the boardwalk at Hiering Avenue Beach in Seaside Heights, NJ to show your support for the Prima Family, in memory of their son Paavo and the entire Hope Sheds Light organization for their great work in support of the individuals, families and communities at the Jersey Shore. If you are unable to walk along with us, we hope you can find it in your hearts to help us to achieve our financial goal of $7,500.
